Father and son charged with murder in January shooting death of 57-year-old man

HOUSTON – Charges have been filed against a father and son after a 57-year-old man was shot and killed in January, according to the Houston Police Department.

The suspects, Darrell Wayne Fletcher Sr., 55, and Darrel Wayne Fletcher, Jr., 21, were both charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The shooting was reported around 7:20 a.m. in a business parking lot at 16310 South Post Oak Road on Jan. 25.

Terrell Rodriguez, 57, was involved in a fight with the father and son in the parking lot before he was shot. The father and son’s identities weren’t known at the time but were later determined as Fletcher Sr. and Fletcher Jr.

Fletcher Sr. turned himself in to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office on April 9 and his son, Fletcher Jr. turned himself in to Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office on April 18.
